David has extensive experience in finance, investment & merchant banking. Beginning his career at a very young age, David progressed quickly to a Managing Director position. Over his career David has participated at the board level in some 42 private & listed companies and has also been the principal adviser in over 210 mergers and acquisitions projects. David has served on boards including as Non-Executive Director NSW Rugby Union Board, Australian Rugby Union Board, Pitt Capital Partners Ltd, Kleinwort Benson Australia Ltd KleinWort Benson Ltd, Glebe Board as well as listed companies (ASX Codes: API, CLV, GZL, SGP, SOL & TPM).
Nick Dacres-Mannings has built a solid reputation as a business builder, corporate advisor & financier over a 25 year career. His initial career & skills was honed by working at the blue chip firms of Gresham Partners, ABN AMRO & HSBC on large & complex transactions. Over the last decade Nick has been involved as a founding Director & owner of the international boutique investment house Helmsec Global Capital. Nick has degrees in Economics, Law & an MBA. His experience includes advice on & arranging debt & equity financing, shareholder relations, M&A, privatisations as well as corporate & industry strategy.
Tony Lethlean is a leading geologist with over 20 years’ mining experience, including 4 years underground on the Golden Mile in Kalgoorlie. In later years, he has worked as a resources analyst with various stockbrokers and investment banks including CIBC World Markets. Tony was a founding director of Helmsec Global Capital Limited which seeded, listed and funded a number of companies in a large range of commodities including gold, copper, coal and rare-earths. Tony is a non-executive director of Alliance Resources Ltd (ASX:AGS) and Alkane Resources Ltd (ASX:ALK).
Drew is an experienced Chartered Accountant & corporate advisor to numerous SMEs. Drew's industry & service specialisations include audits, prospectus preparation, expert reports, due diligence & AFSL audits. Drew's professional qualifications include Bachelor of Commerce (Accounting & Finance), Registered Auditor, Member of the Governance Institute, Member of the Australian Institute of Company Directors, Tax agent, Member of the Institute of Internal Auditors & Member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants.
John Cathcart has 30 years experience in mining and mining investment analysis. John commenced his career with 10 years as a geologist with Western Mining Corporation. He followed this with roles as the mining analyst with EL & C Baillieu, BT Securities and HSBC Securities. Since 2004, John has been responsible for mining and resources investment at Thorney Investments. He continues in that role on a part-time basis.
